Shipping: 

All orders are processed and shipped from Hawaii, Priority Overnight is available on Monday – Friday. The arrival of your order will be the following day by 10:30 a.m. for most shipments. You must place your order at least 3-4 days in advance from the shipping out date. This is for the 48 states and excluding Alaska. East of the Rocky Mountains will take 2 days for delivery by 10:30 a.m.

Durability:

Dendrobium orchids : very durable and can last from 3 to 7 days and sometimes exceeding that. The orchids must be stored between temperatures ranging from 50 to 55F. A standard home refrigerator will work but must be kept in the front area near the door. IMPORTANT DO NOT FREEZE. We provide 100% guarantee on freshness please see our terms and conditions.

Ti Leaf : durable however it is temperature sensitive. It can last about 5 days and sometimes longer provided it's stored between 50-55F. Standard refrigerators are fine. You can freeze after wearing for re-use again. If you have a Ti leaf twisted with Orchid, Jasmine or Pikake please separate the ti leaf and do not freeze the Orchid, Jasmine or Pikake flower lei

Kukui Nuts : These are our most durable lei that can last forever. Please keep it dry

Substitution : During May and June it is our busy season. We will always do our best to fulfill all orders as close to the original order as possible. However, in some instances the flowers or other items needed for your order are unavailable. In this case Shaka Leis will substitute with products that are equal or in most cases greater in value. When a substitution is made Shaka Lei will use flowers they have on-hand to provide something as similar as possible. This may mean that the recipient will not necessarily receive product(s) that are identical to what is pictured on our site.  However, with all substitutions we place great effort in providing products that are most identical in appearance and value. 

How to care for Flower Leis :

Must be stored flower leis between temperatures ranging from 50 to 55F.  A standard home refrigerator will work but must be kept in the front area near the door. IMPORTANT DO NOT FREEZE.

  1. Unpack the leis as soon as possible & carefully.
  2. Lightly mist lei with water
  3. Put the lei(s) in a plastic grocery bag or a Ziploc bag.
  4. Store your lei in the fridge or cooler. Place a hand towel or newspaper over  the ice so the leis do not touch the ice.
