SHIPPING INFO

All orders are processed and shipped from Hawaii, Monday through Saturday. Lei will be delivered to you Monday through Friday. For Saturday delivery, please contact us.

We ship our leis to all 50 States using FedEx for their high reliability and care. FedEx offers fast next day delivery for States west of the Rocky Mountains. If you are east of the Rocky Mountains, it requires 2 days of transit. For local orders in Hawaii, we do hand deliveries on Oahu (in Honolulu only) and ship to outer islands as well. Please inquire for more details.

We pack each and every box with the highest standard of care ensuring you receive the freshest quality from the islands. We provide every shipment with frozen gel ice pack(s) to keep optimal temperature during travel. You may choose from our different shipping options to fit your needs.

Shipping – 3 Options 

– FedEx 2 Day Air ( Available Monday – Friday )

This option takes 2 days for delivery and is available Monday – Friday. Shipping to the 48 states will be delivered by the end of the day. We recommend receiving leis on Wednesday – Friday. Due to FedEx regulations, a Tuesday delivery – we have to ship leis out on Saturday and it will be in transit for 3 days total. We can not guarantee the freshness. If you live east of the Rock Mountains, you can elect Monday delivery. We do not recommend Monday delivery if you live west of the Rocky Mountains. ]

– Standard Overnight  ( Available Monday – Friday )

FedEx Standard Overnight is available on Monday – Friday. The arrival of your order will be the following day by 3 p.m. to most addresses, and by 8 p.m. to residences. You must place your order at least 3-4 days in advance from the shipping out date. This is for the 48 states and excluding Alaska. East of the Rocky Mountains will take 2 days for delivery by 3 p.m.

– Priority Overnight ( Available Monday – Friday ) Recommended

FedEx Priority Overnight is available on Monday – Friday. The arrival of your order will be the following day by 10:30 a.m. for most shipments. You must place your order at least 3-4 days in advance from the shipping out date. This is for the 48 states and excluding Alaska.  East of the Rocky Mountains will take 2 days for delivery by 10:30 a.m.

Deliveries to the West Coast: Shipments typically arrive by 10:30am on the following business day. 

Deliveries to East Coast: Shipments will typically arrive on the 2nd business day by 10:30am.

FedEx Signature Option
We recommend that you choose the “Release Signature” box so you can better ensure you receive your order on your specified date. This way FedEx will leave your package at the door if there is no one to accept it. Please understand that we are not held responsible in case of theft or damage in this situation. We would recommend sending your shipment to an address where someone is available to accept and sign for it.

  • Orders valued $500 or less are shipped without having to sign for the shipment. If you request to sign for your shipment, please call or email us before the order ships. 
  • Orders valued $500 or more require a signature, so the recipient must be home at the time of the delivery. FedEx automatically generates this signature request due to the value of the shipment. 

Timing

If you place an order after 12pm noon (HST) Hawaii Standard Time, it will not be processed until the following business day. We are not held accountable for delays due to flight delays or severe weather conditions.

During APRIL – JULY, we accept last minute orders but based upon what leis are available.

High Season Notice (April – July)

During these months the weather is much warmer and these conditions may affect the quality and freshness of the flowers. For this reason we recommend using the Standard Overnight or Priority Overnight shipping methods. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the highest quality if you choose other shipping methods with longer transit.

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Order in confidence and send some Aloha today! All these conditions must be met to qualify for our 100% satisfaction guarantee:
 
  • Claims MUST be filed no later than 24 hours after the package was delivered. 
  • Claims MUST be emailed to shakaleishop@gmail.com. Please call after you email us so that we can check that it was received and not filtered to Spam/Junk Mail. 
  • Package MUST be shipped Standard Overnight or Priority Overnight.
  • There was no disruption in delivery.
  • Recipient MUST be home to accept the package and not left outside.
  • Package needs to be opened right away to check the condition of the leis prior to refrigeration. DO NOT leave in the box and refrigerate without checking the condition of the leis.
  • Clear photos must be taken of the condition of the leis when you receive the leis. The time stamp will be compared to FedEx drop off time in the FedEx site with the tracking number associated with the package.

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address and are encouraged to check them prior to submitting an order. Once a package has been shipped we cannot redirect it. ShakaLei is not responsible for, nor able to refund or replace orders shipped to the incorrect address.

Priority shipping is the only option we offer in the US that includes insurance. If you forgot choosing Priority Mail, Shaka Lei is not responsible for replacing, refunding, or tracking your lost package.

Occasionally FedEx or UPS will issue a “Service Delay Announcement” indicating a shipment delays due to adverse weather or other conditions.

Shake Lei will not issue refunds during ANY FedEx or UPS Service Delays. All Delays are posted on the FedEx website: www.FedEx.com. We do not offer any compensation for deliveries delayed by any issues that may occur while en route with FedEx or which result in lost or damaged deliveries.
